On 24th October 2014, Fine & Country offices raised &632.80 for Breast Cancer Campaign by taking part in 'Wear it Pink', a charity event that aims to raise awareness and money for research into finding a cure for the disease.
Fine & Country Park Lane, the Fine & Country Studio, Property Logic and estate agency offices in Swansea, Fulham and Cambridge all took part by arranging bake sales, games and pink fancy dress.
Mike Bidwell, Head of Sales for Fine & Country says, “It was a really positive day in the office. The shop window was decorated with pink underwear and bunting, we played a ‘guess the baby photo’ game and had a great selection of pink cakes and champagne that our staff and the public could enjoy for a small donation. Whilst it was a fun way to raise money for a great cause, breast cancer is an issue that is close to the hearts of many people at Fine & Country and our thoughts are with the people affected by this terrible disease.”
Now in its 13th year, Breast Cancer Campaign’s Wear it Pink raises over &2 million every year for world-class breast cancer research that saves and improves lives, giving women quicker diagnosis and more effective treatments. Every year 50,000 mothers, daughters, sisters and wives will be newly diagnosed with breast cancer and 12,000 women still die, with millions continuing to live with its long term impact.
Ellie Adam, Wear it Pink project manager at Breast Cancer Campaign, said “Each year we are overwhelmed by the huge numbers of people wearing it pink. It’s companies like Fine & Country that make this event a success.”
