Last week, the Fine & Country South Africa Convention & Licensee Awards took place in South Africa. Mike Bidwell and David Lindley attended the convention, which was hosted by Linda Erasmus, CEO of Fine & Country Realty sub-Saharan Africa.
The convention was attended by licensees, national and international directors as well as the group's top agents. The theme of the conference was "Selling beyond price" with presentations from Michael Jackson, one of the best B2B speakers in South Africa, David Lindley, Head of Fine & Country Membership Liaison, Mike Bidwell, Head of Sales at Fine & Country and Ryan Hogarth, Social Media Specialist.
Linda Erasmus believes that "Selling beyond price" is about differentiating your company in the ways that matter most and that top performing businesses should rise above their competition and exceed them. Linda says: "Top performing sales people and businesses rise above the general offering. They follow a sales process with a wide range of benefits designed to present solutions to level decision makers. They sell values, they sell a process and increase margins, they make price irrelevant and win executive level credibility while creating the competitive edge."
With the launch of the new Fine & Country website earlier in the week, David Lindley spoke about the benefits of the new site and how it will further the development and future of Fine & Country licensees.
Following David’s presentation, Ryan Hogarth spoke about the importance of social media and how best to utilise it. Linda says about Ryan's presentation: “I feel that we were, once again, reminded that in most social media contexts, we confuse the communication platform with a marketing and advertising platform. Facebook, for instance, is not just another property portal for current property listings, but a platform for newsworthy news and a way to connect to your clientele in a way that is not overbearing and shouting a sale."
The event was followed by a black tie dinner and an awards evening in the Radisson Blu, Sandton.
