David Lench reaches John O'Groats after cycling 1,000 miles for charity

David Lench, Managing Director of Fine & Country Loughton, Canterbury and Isle of Wight, has completed his charity cycle ride from Land's End to John O'Groats! Having started at Land’s End on 6th September 2014, David has travelled over 1,000 miles, completing on average 70 miles per day.

David comments, "Finished!! What a fantastic feeling! A big thank you to a number of people. To Mark B at Hythe for his help, encouragement and tips. To Dan who helped me with my fitness. To Jane for her support during the 2nd week. To my mate Kevin, without whom I would never have navigated the 1,005 miles. And lastly to my wife Vivien, who brilliantly supported Kevin and myself over the 2 weeks, tirelessly looking after us to make sure we had everything. And finally, a big thank you to everyone who has donated to the two great charities that Kevin and I rode for."

David Lench completed the cycle ride with the hope of raising &100,000 for two children’s charities: Action Medial Research and chYps. Action Medial has dedicated 60 years to helping sick children through scientific research. chYps, which also focusses on the wellbeing of young children, provides terminally ill children with full hospice care in their preferred location. So far, &56,014.95 has been raised.
