The International Conference & Gala Dinner

 

The 11th July 2014 saw Fine & Country agents from across the globe flock to the Millennium Hotel, Mayfair, for the International Conference and Gala Dinner 2014.

On day one of the Big Weekend, over 150 members congregated in the main ballroom to create a truly international feel with agents from South Africa, Dubai, Portugal, France, Spain, Cyprus, Russia and of course the UK, to celebrate what has already been an incredibly successful year and to discuss the exciting future of the Fine & Country brand. 
 

 
The delegates were given a choice of an impressive line-up of workshops each led by experts in their respective fields covering topics ranging from training and coaching, to the latest marketing and technological developments within the network. One of the highlights was an uplifting and informative presentation given by David Smith, the Economics Editor of the Sunday Times and award winning journalist and author, who asked if we are still in an age of instability and looked at the economic and housing outlook.


These specialist sessions were complemented by presentations by the Fine & Country Head Office team sharing the latest
 new developments; David Lindley revealed the new design of www.fineandcountry.com and the award categories for the 2014 Fine & Country Property Awards were announced.

After a day packed full of intellectually stimulating workshops, Fine & Country agents were invited to enjoy the 1920’s Gala Dinner and Charity Auction. 1920’s themed decorations, including comedy sized cigars, pearl necklaces, and feather head pieces, transported our guests back in time. Music from a live jazz band filled the room and the agents were given the chance to get to know other members of the Fine & Country network. They were also able to take home a strip of photographs from the vintage photo booth as a small memento
.

Between the main course and desert of the three course meal, Mike Bidwell and Jon Cooke took to the stage to conduct the first charity event, kick starting the Fine & Country Foundation with a BANG!

In the weeks leading up to the event, Fine & Country agents have been generously donated lots for the auction; Fine & Country Algarve donated a once week stay at the 5* Vila Vita Parc Resort in the Algarve with breakfast and car rental included, and Fine & Country Marbella donated a golfing weekend in the Costa del Sol, to name but a few.


Over 14 lots were donated to the auction and we are proud to say that many Fine & Country agents dug deep in their pockets for such a worthwhile cause. In total, &10,500 was raised for the Foundation and will be used to combat homelessness.

It is an uplifting experience to see so many Fine & Country agents in one place. We would like to thank each and every one of you for attending!
