The first Fine & Country Christmas Carol Concert in aid of homelessness is a real success

The first Fine & Country Christmas carol concert, which was held in the Cambridge Union Society Debating Chambers, raised more than &1,300 for the EAFD who support local homeless charities Wintercomfort and Jimmy's Night Shelter and national charity Emmaus.

The carol concert was sponsored by local businesses and organised by Fine & Country Cambridge who provided mince pies and mulled wine for more than 300 local guests. Local businesses with a suitable demographic audience for Fine & Country supported the event by inviting their own clientele along to enjoy the evening ensuing it was promoted far and wide.

The evening started with Mike Bidwell from Fine & Country Cambridge urging the audience to turn their thoughts to those people in Cambridge who are less fortunate and do not have a home or family this Christmas.

The 60-strong Chesterton Choral Society and guests then sang carols such as ‘Once in Royal David’s City’ and ‘Ding Dong! Merrily on High’. Musical Director Quintus Benziger even introduced some of the songs such as the fabulous Latin rendition of ‘Angelus Ad Virginem’.

The evening was and success and Fine & Country look forward to hosting another concert in aid of The Estate Agency Foundation which combats the causes of homelessness next year.
