Fine & Country News Page

You are now an Ambassador of the Estate Agency Foundation

Homelessness is not only defined by people sleeping rough on the street but also;

. youngsters astray from their families
. military personnel not integrating back into society
. divorce and family breakdown
. even people looking for work

These are not the people we see every day down the subways, they are in social care, they are in bed and breakfasts, they are dossing down on friend's floors. Nevertheless they are in distress, they become separated from society and they do not have a place to call home.

And everybody deserves a place to call home!

The statistics on homelessness are alarming;

> The average life expectancy of a homeless person is just 43.

> There are a total of 84,800 households that contain more than one person classified as homeless.

> A massive 19% of homelessness is caused by relationship breakdown.

Fine & Country has made a donation to the Estate Agency Foundation (EAF) on behalf of each office within the Fine & Country network to secure Ambassador status for everyone. As a business, we are committed to maintain a social responsibility and are delighted to support the EAF on a national basis.

The EAF is a charity dedicated to eliminating the causes of homelessness – an increasing problem in the UK that affects ordinary people, who unfortunately received a lack of support at critical moments, or just simply fell on difficult times. This is especially true of the young who deserve a much better start in their lives.

This is a great time to support the EAF whilst the ‘Great Property Cycle Ride’ is under way. Led by Fine & Country Director, Jon Cooke, and Fine & Country Warwickshire Director, Sean Newman, cyclists have undertaken to ride over 3,000 miles in a herculean task around the coast. Jon and Sean have been dealing with some challenging weather conditions and terrain and remain confident they will complete this incredible challenge. We want to ask you to support us by;
