Compliance service

We want to share more about our service and support for the network, helping every office stay compliant. 
 
This initiative will be led by Paul Offley, Fine & Country's Compliance Officer. Paul has nearly 40 years’ experience in the Estate Agency Industry and has held a number of Senior role in The Halifax, including heading up the Estate Agency Risk and Compliance team.

Paul commented: "It is a real pleasure to join the GPEA team. Legislation and regulation for our profession is rarely out of the news these days and the need for agents to be able to comply has never been so important. I am looking forward to working with Fine & Country Licensee's to help support them."

This will be process will consist of three elements:

1. Compliance Assessment
Every new Fine & Country Licence will have an assessment within the first four weeks of joining the network. This assessment will confirm the Licence's adherence to essential legal responsibilities and standards.

2. Compliance Health Check
We will also complete random health-checks on existing members throughout the year. These are designed to ensure that your business is legally compliant and representing the values of the brand. Paul will also be able to share tips on best practice as he travels around the network.

In both cases we will contact you to agree a suitable date and we will provide you with a report summarising our findings.

3. Business Compliance Audit
Our Business Compliance Audit is an additional service offered to Fine & Country Licences providing a full in-depth review of your business and your policies. The audit will look at every stage of the property transaction for both sales and lettings. For lettings, the audit will extend to the property management function including finance, deposits and Non Resident Landlord schemes. In addition, we will review key policies that you should have in place and your overall risk governance approach. Where issues are identified we will work with you on actions to reduce your risk exposure.

We have been delivering these now for 12 months and they have proved invaluable to Licences in reducing their risk exposure, improving customer service levels, learning and development for teams. You can view a sample report on request by contacting us.
